
Mindy was discovered by Oprah Winfrey while making animal calls as an audience member. It was at this time that she found her true calling in the entertainment industry.
After over three hundred radio appearances, a producer hired Mindy to host the highly rated Saginaw, Michigan radio program called Mike & Mindy in the Morning which went to number one in its first six months.
Mindy then went on to report for television’s Entertainment Tonight and since made a successful career covering the world of entertainment for KTLA's award-winning News at Ten and the KTLA Morning News. She’s won a Golden Mike Award, and was nominated for two Emmy’s and for “Entertainment Reporter of the Year” by the Publicists Guild.
Mindy recently celebrated the birth of her second child, Taylor Joyce, who joins a family of five children (and two granddaughters).
Along with a busy career as a mother, stepmother, grandmother. narrator, television personality and host, Mindy and her husband Glenn stay active in philanthropy through the Stearns Family Charitable Foundation to support charities that help disadvantaged children.
