Medallion Recognition Ball

Traditional Pomander Ball

Graduating Senior Assisteens are presented with the opportunity to make their ascent into society  at the annual Medallion Recognition Ball. The Medallion Recognition Ball is Assistance League of Newport-Mesa’s recognition of the young women for their years of service and dedication to the community.  The Debutantes have volunteered countless hours towards community service, while learning the value of community responsibility, self-reliance, and leadership skills.  During the presentation, each young lady performs the classic St. James Bow. A highlight of the evening is the traditional waltz with the Debutantes and their fathers showing off their dance steps.
