Ed Arnold

Ed is co-host and managing editor of KOCE-TV’s nightly news magazine show, “Real Orange.” Prior to joining KOCE, he was a sportscaster/anchor for KTLA-TV and KABC-TV in Los Angeles. He also served as the announcer for Dr. Robert H. Schuller’s international program “Hour of Power’ from its beginning in 1970 until mid-2008.


Arnold first came to Orange County in 1958 as a member of the United States Marine Corps and remained on to play football at Santa Ana College. He earned an A.A. in Business at Santa Ana College and a B.A. from California State University Long Beach in Radio/TV/Film.


Ed is very involved in his community and is involved with a number of organizations including the March of Dimes board of directors for over thirty-five years. He is a forty-year volunteer of his local Boys and Girls Clubs and chairman of the Huntington Beach-Fountain Valley clubs largest annual fundraiser. In 1968, Arnold became a founding board member of the California Special Olympics and still plays an active role in the organization’s events.


Additionally, Arnold was the 46th President of the California Jaycees and served seven terms as president of the Orange County Multiple Sclerosis Society. He was charter president of the Fountain Valley Rotary Club, president of Southern California Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for five terms and served two terms as president of the Southern California Sportscasters Association.

Ed and his wife Dr. Dixie Arnold make their home in Fountain Valley. They have a son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons who also reside in Fountain Valley.
